Design and experimental validation of event-triggered multi-vehicle cooperation in conflicting scenarios Research Article

Zhanyi HU, Yingjun QIAO, Xingyu LI, Jin HUANG, Yifan JIA, Zhihua ZHONG

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 11,   Pages 1700-1713 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100504

Abstract:

Platoon control is widely studied for coordinating (CAVs) on highways due to its potential for improving traffic throughput and road safety. Inspired by platoon control, the cooperation of multiple CAVs in can be greatly simplified by virtual platooning. Vehicle-to-vehicle communication is an essential ingredient in virtual platoon systems. Massive data transmission with limited communication resPreprintources incurs inevitable imperfections such as transmission delay and dropped packets. As a result, unnecessary transmission needs to be avoided to establish a reliable wireless network. To this end, an event-triggered robust control method is developed to reduce the use of communication resources while ensuring the stability of the virtual platoon system with time-varying uncertainty. The uniform boundedness, uniform ultimate boundedness, and string stability of the closed-loop system are analytically proved. As for the triggering condition, the uncertainty of the boundary information is considered, so that the threshold can be estimated more reasonably. Simulation and experimental results verify that the proposed method can greatly reduce data transmission while creating multi-vehicle cooperation. The threshold affects the tracking ability and communication burden, and hence an optimization framework for choosing the threshold is worth exploring in future research.

Target height and multipath attenuation joint estimation with complex scenarios for very high frequency Research Articles

Sheng CHEN, Yongbo ZHAO, Yili HU, Chenghu CAO, Xiaojiao PANG

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 6,   Pages 937-949 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100003

Abstract:

for is a difficult problem due to the in the radar field, especially in where the reflection condition is unknown. To deal with this problem, we propose an algorithm of target height and multipath attenuation joint estimation. The amplitude of the surface reflection coefficient is estimated by the characteristic of the data itself, and it is assumed that there is no reflected signal when the amplitude is very small. The phase of the surface reflection coefficient and the phase difference between the direct and reflected signals are searched as the same part, and this represents the multipath phase attenuation. The Cramer-Rao bound of the proposed algorithm is also derived. Finally, computer simulations and real data processing results show that the proposed algorithm has good estimation performance under and works well with only one snapshot.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2016, Volume 17, Issue 4,   Pages 296-308 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500344

Abstract: Supporting group decision-making in ubiquitous contexts is a complex task that must deal with a large amount of factors to succeed. Here we propose an approach for an intelligent negotiation model to support the group decision-making process specifically designed for ubiquitous contexts. Our approach can be used by researchers that intend to include arguments, complex algorithms, and agents’ modeling in a negotiation model. It uses a social networking logic due to the type of communication employed by the agents and it intends to support the ubiquitous group decision-making process in a similar way to the real process, which simultaneously preserves the amount and quality of intelligence generated in face-to-face meetings. We propose a new look into this problem by considering and defining strategies to deal with important points such as the type of attributes in the multicriterion problems, agents’ reasoning, and intelligent dialogues.

Development Strategy of Space Internet Constellation System in China

Li Feng, Yu Hang, Ding Rui, Wang Ningyuan, Wang Yuqi, Zhou Zhicheng

Strategic Study of CAE 2021, Volume 23, Issue 4,   Pages 137-144 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2021.04.016

Abstract:

The space Internet constellation system is an important component of China’s space information infrastructure and has become a focus of international competition in future. However, China is still in the preparatory stage of the space Internet constellation system construction. We started late and are faced with many risks such as a backward space resource position, lack of independent standards, a weak foundation for technological development, limitation in traditional application fields, and uncontrollability of network security; therefore, China’s space Internet constellation system is still far from supporting rapid economic and social development. Facing the opportunities and challenges, we overview the space Internet constellation system development in China and analyze the macro demand for space Internet construction. Subsequently, we analyze the development trend of the system both in China and abroad and propose the development ideas, key tasks, and technical routes of the space Internet constellation system construction in China. To improve the service abilities of China’s space information network and establish a flexible space system, we suggest that China should strengthen top-level planning at the national level in the design and engineering construction stages, accelerate the exploitation of space and frequency resources, formulate satellite Internet standards, intensify efforts to tackle key technologies, promote integrated and innovative applications, and build a network security and protection system.
